Bubble Wrap Will Not Be Poppable Anymore?

Sealed Air Corp has been around for a few years but now they have expanded and companies are using their unpoppable bubble wrap called iBubble wrap. Bubble wrap is a way to relieve stress and calm nerves. But lets just face it, it’s also a lot of fun to pop. So why take it away if it helps us and protects our packages? Some companies used normal bubble wrap for years, so why change it now to something that might apply too much pressure to our orders? Yes it’s sealed air but it can't be popped to relieve pressure if there's too much. So it might damage the package if it's something such as glass or something that shouldn't be squished. Also, whoever buys this bubble wrap can’t get it inflated. You have to buy a special pump that costs up to $5,500 to inflate the bubbles. Sealed Air also has been unable to take advantage of e-commerce in far-flung markets, losing business to local imitators. Sealed Air rarely sends bubble wrap to customers over 150 miles from its factories because of its size and the cost of shipment. The only plus side to this new bubble wrap is that it creates less waste for the planet, saving the Earth and its animals. It also protects the package 30% more than normal bubble wrap, is the same size, and it also uses less space when packaging products. I'm not really for or against this new bubble wrap because there's both plus and negative sides to having normal and iBubble wrap. iBubble wrap can be customized with any color or bubble shape so that way it can fit the product in different ways. I think it looks pretty cool. For me, I think that iBubble is something to play with because you can make stuff with the bubble wrap and pick the color, which you couldn’t do with original bubble wrap. Using iBubble leaves a smaller carbon footprint, which is good, but iBubble is more popular because of their looks than for their environmental safety. Many of their customers like the way it looks rather than their packages condition, they see it as more of a way of sending a message than to provide support for the package or product they are sending. In addition, we should keep the normal bubble wrap because it helps keep people from being stressed and lessens anxiety. It can also be used as a toy for younger kids to keep them distracted. iBubble may change ways people package products and help with creating less waste, but they should find a way to combine normal bubble wrap and iBubble wrap into one so consumers can still use it to relieve stress or play with it. It should also still have a cool design with the ability for a buyer to pick out the color. In my opinion, we should use both because it helps the environment and our packages and everyone can still enjoy the fun of popping the bubbles.
