On Friday September 14, the Miamisburg football team took on one of their biggest opponents. The Wayne Warriors, up to this point, have always beaten Miamisburg, including last year when Miamisburg had gained a lead in the first half. This year, the Vikings finally pushed through to the win.

Friday, Senior Jon Yerkins, rushed 15 times for 103 yards and gave Miamisburg two touchdowns. With 7:09 before the half, Jon Yerkins brought in a 35 yard touchdown.

Jackson Myers lead the team with 9 tackles with Cael Parkhurst following close behind at 8. The Vikings also had two turnovers with interceptions by Jamal Evans and Jon Yerkins. The defensive line put pressure onto the Warriors with sacks by Colin Alcorn and Dylan Wudke. Senior Colin Dillon had a 25 yard field goal and gained ¾ extra points for the Vikings.

In the end, the Miamisburg Vikings won 30-13, keeping their record at 4-0.
