Want to make the best possible treat for a loved one or friend this February 14th? Well, I might have just the treat for you to create! Valentine’s Day is the best time to eat some chocolate, not only because it is typical for the holiday, but because it’s chocolate!
Beginning the creation of this chocolate, you will need the following items: whatever solid chocolate you prefer, salt, heavy whipping cream, cocoa powder, and, for a special treat, a cute heart-shaped pan! The best thing is that when I tried this at home, it only took about an hour in total to finish it up!
To start, you will want to add your desired chocolate into a mixing bowl and add a small amount of salt to it- about a pinch; personally, I didn’t even put that much. Next, you will want to get a saucepan and put your cream in it and have it on the stovetop until it starts to boil and after that, you add the chocolate.
Now for this next part, be very careful because it could get a tad bit messy. Start slowly mixing your pan until your chocolate is in a thin paste. Then, pour all of the chocolate into your heart-shaped pan and refrigerate it for about 25 minutes. After you pull out the pan, it is done!
This recipe was something I learned from a relative but she was also inspired by the recipe from http://allrecipes.com/recipe/235896/homemade-valentines-chocolates/, but altered it to fit her tastes. Definitely check them out if you like a little bit more seasoning added to the chocolate and fluff! Happy Valentine’s Day!
