Devastating Fire in Miamisburg

On December 13, just more than a week away from Christmas, firefighters responded to a fire call and arrived at a house consumed in heavy smoke and fire on E. Pearl Street, Miamisburg. All four family members that were in the house at the time were able to get out. Sadly, their two dogs that were in the home did not make it out alive. The cause of the house fire was unknown and the house was completely destroyed. All members of the family were injured from the fire but the mother was left in critical condition. She had suffered first degree burns and damage to her lungs and eyes. Days later, she was finally released from the hospital.The community has come together to help the family providing clothes, food, toys and even a TV. A GoFundMe page has even been created to help the family recover after the destructive fire.
