We at Miamisburg pride ourselves on the representation of our athletics, and this year we have set the bar. The varsity soccer, tennis, golf, and volleyball teams have paved a path for this year’s fall season. We are so thrilled to have such wonderful teams here at Miamisburg!
The girls varsity soccer team began the season with a 6-1 defeat at Hamilton High School but were quick to jump back from their loss. They took on Kings High School beating them 2-0. Great job ladies, we’re rooting for you to have a great rest of your season!
Our boys varsity soccer team started the season off with a loss against Centerville High School, 2-0. Just as the ladies did, they came back from the loss to beat Edgewood High School 3-1. Their most recent victory was against Valley View High School, winning the match 2-1. Good luck with the rest of your season boys!
This year's girls varsity tennis team started the season off with a great win against Sidney High School after advancing to the second round of the OTCA state tournament. In their most recent match against Wayne High School, they took home the win. They beat Wayne High School 5-0! Way to go Ladies!
The ladies varsity golf team has once again taken first at the Miami East Golf Invitational, for the second year in a row. Their most recent victory was against Vandalia High School for the ladies’ senior night. They beat Vandalia High School 195-226. Amazing job ladies; best of luck at GWOC!
The boys varsity golf team took on Carlisle High School and won the match with a score of 176-189. They recently took on Xenia High School, beating the team 179-182. It was a close call, but the boys managed to win! Good luck with the rest of your season boys!
The ladies varsity volleyball team kicked off their season with a win against Shawnee High School, 3-0. In their most recent victory the ladies took on Northmont High School. They lost the first set, but were determined to win: so, they bounced back, taking over the score for a 3-1 win. Wonderful job ladies; enjoy the rest of your season and best of luck!
We love all our teams at Miamisburg, and we should show our pride. Make sure to come out and support the teams whenever you have free time! It always feels good to have a student section full of supporters!
