Local College Football

I am going to take a look at all of the local college football, CFB, teams (Miami OH, Ohio State, University of Cincinnati, and Ohio University) and predict which games they will win, lose and more! This is all just based on how the team did last year, who they lost to, and how the new players have looked so far.
Miami of Ohio- Miami went 6-7 last year, losing their first six games, then winning six straight to become bowl eligible (this was the first team in CFB to win their last six regular season games after starting out 0-6). In their bowl game, they lost to Mississippi State after what would have been a game winning field goal for them got blocked. They return many of their players from last year. This team should get better. Their quarterback Gus Ragland should become a better passer for them. I think this team should finish 7-5, losing to Marshall, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Central Michigan, and Ohio. I think that they might also lose to Akron or Ball State. This would be a one win improvement from last year, which is very likely to happen.

Ohio State- Ohio State went 12-2 last year, only losing to Penn State, in dramatic fashion I might add, and Clemson, which is the first time an Urban Meyer team has ever been shut out. In the Penn State game at Happy Valley, Buckeye fans didn’t leave very happy: the Bucks just played too sloppy of a game against a very good Penn State team. Their mistakes cost them as the game winning touchdown was scored on a blocked field goal. In the Fiesta Bowl, Buckeye fans didn’t have a fiesta, but they wanted to have a siesta after it, so the Buckeyes lost 31-0 in a stunning fashion to the eventual national champion Clemson Tigers. Every time the Bucks got something started, Clemson seemed to shut it down. I think Ohio State with sixteen returning starters including Redshirt Senior quarterback JT Barrett will allow them to go undefeated, defeating Oklahoma at home and Michigan at The Big House, as well as Penn State at home. I also believe they will make it back to the college football playoff. This would be a one win improvement from last year.
University of Cincinnati- Cincinnati went 4-8 last year, winning only one conference game out of eight in the American Athletic Conference. I believe they will go 6-6. I think that this would be a good starting point for Luke Fickell’s first year as the head coach of the Bearcats. This would be a two win improvement. I think they would win more if some teams play worse than they did last year or Cincinnati surprises us.
Ohio University- Ohio went 8-6 last year, making it to the MAC championship game and losing to Western Michigan. I believe that they will go 10-2, losing to Purdue and Miami (OH). They don’t play the four teams that they lost to last year in the regular season, which should help them possibly win a larger proportion. This would be a two win improvement from last year. They also will make it back to MAC Championship game.
